The short version
The LAX JAM app collects no personal data. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking in the game. Your settings and progress stay on your device.
This website collects one thing on purpose: the email address you give us to hear about the launch. We use it only to email you about LAX JAM, we never sell it, and you can have it deleted at any time.
Who we are
LAX JAM is an independent arcade lacrosse game. In this policy "LAX JAM", "we", "us" and "our" mean the developer and publisher of the LAX JAM game and the operator of PlayLaxJam.com. This policy covers the LAX JAM app for iPhone and iPad (including beta versions distributed through TestFlight) and the website at playlaxjam.com.

The LAX JAM app
What the app collects
Nothing that identifies you. The app does not ask you to create an account, does not show ads, does not include analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. It does not use your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location.
What stays on your device
The game saves your settings (for example sound, controls and difficulty) and your progress and records (for example International Cup results and unlocked Superstars) in the app's own storage on your device. That data isn't sent to us. It is removed when you delete the app, and it may be included in your own iCloud or device backups under Apple's terms.
Purchases
If you buy LAX JAM or anything in it, the purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple gives developers sales reports that don't identify individual buyers.
Crash reports and diagnostics from Apple
If you have turned on sharing with app developers in your device settings, Apple may send us crash reports and usage statistics that Apple collects. Apple anonymizes this data before we receive it, and we use it only to fix bugs and improve performance. You can turn it off at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
Beta testing through TestFlight
If you test a beta version, Apple's TestFlight service may share with us the name and email address you used to join (when you were invited by email), the device model and system version, crash logs, and any screenshots and feedback you choose to send. We use this only to run the beta and fix problems, and we delete tester details when the beta programme ends or when you ask. Apple's handling of TestFlight data is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
Future online features
Today the game plays entirely on your device. If we add online features, such as online multiplayer, we will update this policy and the app's App Store privacy details before those features ship, and explain what they collect.
This website
PlayLaxJam.com sets no cookies, shows no ads and loads no third-party trackers, analytics, fonts or embeds. Everything on the page comes from our own site.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Cloudflare may keep this information in short-lived logs for security and reliability. We don't use it to identify you.
The launch email list
When you enter your email address in a "Get updates" form, we store:

Our legal basis for this, where the law asks for one (for example in the UK and European Union), is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send or by emailing hello@playlaxjam.com.
We will not sell, rent or trade your email address, and we won't use it for anything other than news about LAX JAM.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run LAX JAM, only as much as they need, and only under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and stores the email list.
- An email delivery service. When we send launch emails we may use an email service provider to deliver them on our behalf. It receives your email address only to send our messages.
- Apple distributes the app and processes purchases, crash reports and TestFlight feedback as described above.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights, safety or property of our players or others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the LAX JAM business, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we stop sending LAX JAM news, whichever comes first. When you unsubscribe we delete your address, or keep only the minimum needed to make sure we don't email you again. The rate-limiting code is kept with your signup record and deleted with it.
Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you whether we hold information about you and give you a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- stop emailing you.
Depending on where you live (for example the UK, the European Economic Area, or US states such as California), you may have further rights, including to object to or restrict how we use your information, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
To use any of them, email hello@playlaxjam.com from the address you signed up with. We'll reply within 30 days.
Because the app keeps your game data only on your device, you can delete all of it yourself by deleting the app.
Children
The LAX JAM app doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children. The website's email list is meant for people aged 13 and over (or the minimum age for consent in your country), and we don't knowingly collect email addresses from younger children. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the address.
Security
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. The email list is stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure, and access to it is limited to the LAX JAM team. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we collect small so there's little to protect.
International transfers
LAX JAM is run from the United States, and Cloudflare operates data centres around the world. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as our service providers' standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
